Education/Career Goals

To work and research as an activist educator at the college/university level.

Before the Program

I received my BS in Sociology and Social Justice, and my BA in Gender and Women's Studies at Northland College. Upon graduation in 2016, I left Wisconsin to begin 2 years of AmeriCorps service as a CSU STEM VISTA, working to increase support for undocumented students on the Central Coast of California.

Why Humboldt Public Sociology

The program's curriculum on critically teaching Sociology will inform my future as a Sociology instructor, as well as continue to fuel my desire for engaging in this work and in this world.
