Finish the program and then get my PhD in sociology and teach at the community college level

Before the Program (what were you doing before you joined the program?)

I got my undergraduate degree in sociology from UC Davis. After graduating I worked a bunch of retail jobs which were all interesting but not quite what I was looking for in terms of a career.

Why HSU Public Sociology (why did you choose this program?)

I want to teach and I liked the emphasis on teaching here. It felt like a good mix of teaching and research so it would be good prep for a PhD program and beyond.
